Dottie's Glade

There's redbud in the springtime
And crimson every fall...
White coats of wintry glory
Cover trees and hollow logs.
Each evening, there's an atmosphere
Touched by golden rays-
That gently uplifts the soul
Through twilight's pinkish haze.
At nighttime, it's a "holler,"
With bullfrog jamborees;
Complete with tree frog singers
Who blend in harmony!
A quiet solace in the summer
To ponder nature's gift...
Watching tiny spatsies
Dine with swallow-swifts.
Sweet garden spot of mystery
Where the spirit can let go-
To absorb a peaceful sunset,
And watch the fireflies glow!
