Plain as Day

As "plain" as the day is long,
Is the Love of God;
Like a shepherd watching
Where His flocklings trod.

A country kind of wonder...
Really "down to earth"
(Sort of like a bird's song;
Full of joy and mirth.)

He's happy when we're happy,
And sad when we are down
(Though it's not His "image"
To wear a sullied frown.)

The Bible speaks of pastures
And shelter from the storms-
It's really plain and simple
How He furnishes our corn.

Our Lord is like a "farmer"
(That's a husbandman...)
Who has a crop within us;
Reaching for the SUN!
