Roses Without Thorns

The white rose is Memorial.
Yellow represents a "friend."
Red ones are the present
(A dozen for to send.)

On Mother's Day we celebrate
Those who mean so much-
And wear a beauteous posy
As a way to keep in touch.

Mothers are much like the rose;
A fragrant, precious thing
(Without the painful thorns of course
That cause such awful sting.)

I believe God had in mind...
When He thought of the rose,
The way a Mother exudes LOVE
And lets the whole world know!
