She Soars

The "gentle darts" of Artemis
Freed your fettered soul.
Angels sang on mountains high;
Your welcome to the fold.
Hopes were crushed and dreams fell down...
Impaled upon the foe.
I looked up and caught a glimpse
And thought I saw you soar-
So high above the troubled seas
Of earthly cares you flew,
Looking down to wave goodbye
And bid those cares adieu.
A brighter day we hope to find,
So each day we climb...
A little closer to God's Light.
As you soar, please be our guide.

This poem is dedicated to my late, younger sister
who now "Soars" through Heavenly skies!
