SHIPWRECK!
 (Based on: Acts 24, Acts 28,
  Romans 4:17, 2 Corinthians 11:25)

Giant waves were heaving-
The lanterned ship was tossed.
And the burly bo'sun's mate
Shouted as their boss:
"THROW OVERBOARD ALL EXTRA WEIGHT -
FOR IT WILL BREAK THE BOW!"
Weathered sailors, they obeyed...
Casting big crates out.
Swirling maelstroms taunted
As did Elmo's fire.
Some mariners were on their knees,
While others fought the "tire."
The ship was beat and thrown about,
Then struck by Neptune's rod!
Dumping bodies in the bay
To face the wrath of God!
Choking in the sea foam;
Fighting for each breath-
Fearful men were begging
Relief from briny death.
But Paul - he had a "hot-line"
And prayed for safety there...
(Never minding what it seemed)
Acknowledging God's care.
As the dawn came breaking
They spied a welcomed beach;
Recognizing they'd been saved
From Satan's foulest breach!
